Try eating 1 hr before your next 5 mile run and see if you have more energy than usual? Get stomach cramps… maybe try eating something different or don’t eat at all.
People often say to work out BEFORE breakfast. Just to clarify, that isn't good. You need a big breakfast. Because 10 miles is a lot! Porridge is good with toast. But it is only carbs, as I think you can see. You need fats and protein.
